Matted Album


What are Matted Albums?


This is a reversible album: each photo is hand-mounted into a recessed frame available in two mat choices  with liners available in four colors. Make them more contemporary by adding panoramas and special effects

.           

How is the Matted Album sized?


Zookbinders determines Matted Album size by the largest size print that is fitted within a matted frame. (i.e. 10x10 Matted Album end result is a 12x12 finished size, see chart below).

What are the Matted Album sizes and cameos available?


The Matted Album is available in four different sizes.

What cover options are available?


There are 4 different types of leather (PDF) to select from and 32 color choices. Cameo Covers are also available see chart above for sizes.

The Reflectionz™ cover is available through Print to Bind only.

What is the difference between a slipcase and a pillowcase?


A slipcase is a custom-made matching leather felt-lined case which allows an album to be displayed (additional charges apply). Every album is shipped inside a pillowcase then placed into a black presentation box for protection. Click to review Album features and options.

How are the prints protected?


We coat each print with a clear, water-based lacquer prior to the mounting process.

Can I use Print to Bind services with Matted Albums?

Can I create panorama spreads in Matted Albums?


Yes, you can have up to 3 full, ¾, or special panorama spreads at an additional cost. When designing with these specialty prints we recommend not placing more than two panoramas consecutively. There is no limit to half panoramas within an album, but there is an additional cost.

If I send in prints for a Matted Album how should they be numbered?

What is your turnaround time?


Production time for a Matted Album is 10 business days “in-plant”, plus shipping. Orders received after 10am are processed the following business day.  November and December are exceptions due to seasonally high volume.

Can Zookbinders ship an order directly to my customer?


This is a great time saver! We can “drop-ship” the order directly to your customer for a $7.00 fee, in addition to the shipping charges. Your invoice will be mailed separately to your studio. All drop ships are sent signature required and someone must be available to accept delivery.

What is your Matted Album Sample album policy?


Although Zookbinders doesn’t offer pre-made sample albums, we offer 50% discount on all Matted Album studio sample orders. If using our Print to Bind service you receive 25% off on printing. Just select the “studio sample” checkbox on the order form when submitting your order.

How many Sample albums can I have?


Zookbinders does not limit the amount of Sample albums you can order. Take advantage of the discounts to upgrade and display different sizes, leathers, and latest cover options while showcasing your work. All sample albums will be stamped “Studio Sample” in the inside front cover of the album, and Zookbinders reserves the right to change imprinting dates to a future date.

Can I order Matted Albums and PhotoBooks together?


Yes, and it’s only available through Print to Bind. The ordering system allows you to order Matted Albums and PhotoBooks of the same design only. See step 3 in the ordering process to order your PhotoBook(s).

Can I submit multiple Matted Album orders of the same design on a single order?


No, each Matted Album needs to be submitted and processed individually.

What is your return policy on slip cases?


Slip cases are custom made to fit each individual album. No refunds or exchanges will be accepted.
